Company Profile

Fugro Seismic Imaging [FSI] provides seismic data processing services for 2D, 3D and 4D datasets from marine, land, transition zone and OBC environments.

Service offerings include:
  • time processing from field data to final workstation volumes
  • structural inversion and depth imaging
  • 4D/time lapse
  • stratigraphic and interpretive processing

Onshore, FSI operates twelve processing centres: UK (two centres), USA (three centres), Australia, Norway, Canada, India, Malaysia, Indonesia and Brazil.

Offshore, FSI provides the on-board processing capability for the Fugro fleet of seismic acquisition vessels operated by Fugro-Geoteam, Fugro Survey and Fugro OceanSismica. On-board services range from quality control and data validation through full onboard processing.

From the company’s beginning, it recognized the benefits of offering an independent processing solution. FSI continues to invest strongly in innovation with R&D conducted at five of its centres. FSI also invests significantly in external research, sponsoring a number of Industrial/Academic Consortia including the Stanford Exploration Program, the University of Texas at Dallas' Center for Lithospheric Studies, the Signal Analysis and Imaging Group of the University of Alberta, Canada and the Wave Inversion Technology Consortium of Germany. As a result, FSI is able to offer the industry a number of specialist workflows and products, some unique to the company.

The name Fugro Seismic Imaging was introduced on 1 January 2005 to cover the combined seismic data processing operations of the Fugro Group. The companies which merged to form FSI brought a solid legacy of continuous and successful operations, dating back five decades.

Today, FSI is a leading geophysical contractor and, as part of the Fugro Geoscience Division, an integral member of one of the world’s largest and most progressive geoscience service organizations.
