Quality Assurance

FSI is a company seeking excellence, most of all excellence in our dealings with our customers and in meeting and exceeding their expectations. The two most important measures for this are timeliness and accuracy. Clients must be able to rely on the delivery of of the best possible data within the agreed deadlines.

The key to meeting these goals is through the adoption of a stringent quality program. To this end, FSI has implemented a twin-track approach to quality. The first of these is FSI's Quality Assurance Environment. This is a way of structuring our working practices and communications, both internally and externally, in order to avoid problems arising. The second mechanism is Quality Control. This is a recognition that we can never afford to be complacent, the unexpected does happen and we have to be prepared for it. QC is about checking our work to ensure that error or contamination is identified as soon as possible and promptly corrected or removed.

FSI employs these complementary mechanisms - Quality Assurance (to structure our working practices and communications) and Quality Control (in the form of appropriate, process-specific, metrics) - to ensure that clients can rely on the timely delivery of accurate results.

Key components:

  • Understanding: Of the technical requirements of our clients and the time-constraints under which they operate
  • Personnel: Relevant experience, expertise and empowerment
  • Duties: Clear division of responsibilities between FSI managerial, technical and commercial staff
  • Communication: An open, clear and accurate style in communications with clients and colleagues
  • Resources: Optimal use of hardware; innovative and creative application of software
These methodologies, pioneered at FSI's London Processing Centre and refined over many years, have been progressively rolled out across the group. Now, data processing at FSI is conducted under the strictures of FSI's Quality Management System, certified compliant with the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001:2000.
