Fugro Seismic Imaging (FSI) invites suitably qualified and experienced candidates to apply for the following job openings at FSI's Oslo processing centre.
Senior Time/Depth Processing Geophysicist
FSI has worldwide responsibility for seismic data processing and imaging within the Fugro Group. Our company also forms the bridge between marine acquisition and further utilization of seismic data in the Fugro Geoscience Division. We are represented on all continents and provide services to oil companies worldwide.
We are now expanding and therefore looking for talented individuals to join us.
Currently two positions are open for the Oslo-based Marine Processing group:
Senior Processing Geophysicist
Senior Depth Processing Geophysicist
Position Responsibilities:
- Processing of 2D and/or 3D marine seismic data
- Parameter testing and selection for optimal quality & cost-effectiveness
- Presentation of results to clients
Required skills:
- Bachelor's degree or higher (Maths, Physics, Earth Science)
- Experience in 2D or 3D seismic data processing
- Depth imaging and model building experience for the depth position
- Experience with Unix/Linux and PC systems
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills
- Ability to work individually and within small teams
- Co-ordination and organisation skills with the ability to seek and gain consensus
Advantageous skills:
- Familiarity with UNISEIS software
- Knowledge with GeoDepth Software for the depth position would be a plus
