Time Processing

FSI's core business is the time-domain processing of 2D and 3D seismic data.

FSI commenced data processing operations in the early 1970’s and in the course of nearly forty years of continuous operations has acquired a wealth of global experience and expertise in the processing of datasets from land, marine, transition zone, OBC and borehole environments. Service options include both standard workflows, as well as a number of specialised/proprietary workflows.

Standard workflows are built around the UNISEIS processing system. A common baseline flow will involve scaling, noise reduction, deconvolution, multiple attenuation, imaging, stacking and filtering. This baseline will be adapted and enhanced as appropriate. For Land datasets - derivation and application of static corrections. For Marine - additional demultiple to address the effect of the free-surface, such as the application of FSI's true-amplitude 2D/3D-SRME. Extensions common to both include such techniques as Wavelet Denoise and finite-offset (pre-Stack) Common-reflection surface [CRS] stacking.

Specialist workflows include proprietary offerings such as high-resolution short-offset 3D [HRSO3D] and GeoQube.

In addition to data processing for exploration and production, FSI has also developed considerable experience and expertise in near-surface / hazard-zone processing for geotechnical and/or HSE purposes.
